Howard Zeppelin
After retiring as the owner/operator of Tobin’s Pharmacy for 40 years, Howard sold the business knowing that he wanted to keep going – only this time on a part-time basis. Pencol needed some part-time help and the match was made.
Howard is a Denver native and Denver Public School graduate who married his high school sweetheart with whom he has 3 children – who all like their dad, live, work and are beginning families of their own in Denver. Howard and his wife have 2 grandchildren who they hope will continue the Zeppelin tradition.
Howard began his pharmacy career with a love and appreciation for the scientific aspect of dealing with customers. With Pencol he saw that compounding provided a service that was not filled elsewhere. So he added his much respected reputation with Veterinarians, Doctors and hospital care workers to the Pencol pharmacy staff and delighted in seeing how compounding was making a difference in the way patients felt. “I hear them saying it, how much better they are feeling. I have to respect that. For many people, compounding medicine has made the difference.”
Because of what he has experienced in over 40 years as a Denver pharmacist, Howard sees compounding as the future of pharmacy. “You don’t see the little guys anymore- the small pharmacy with the personal relationships to their clients. This specialty, compounding, will continue to serve and survive.”
