Kerry Hargrove
CPhT
Kerry is one of our newest Pencol members and we will celebrate his first year with us this spring. Kerry spent 4 years in the Navy on a submarine spending 6 months at a time at sea. When he completed his service, this Colorado native returned home and earned his B.S. in biology at Metro State College in Denver. Finding that there were no jobs available, Kerry decided to do something new. With a view toward the future he knew that there would always be a need for medicines so he attended Pima Medical Institute to earn a degree as a pharmacy tech. During a ‘shadow day’, Kerry came to Pencol, liked what he saw and applied for a position when he graduated. That was a lucky day for us all!
What Kerry saw at Pencol was, “The diversity. In compounding we can make anything. There is always a challenge that keeps me on my toes.” Kerry likes to be behind the scenes. He was pleasantly surprised, he says, “I didn’t know how much I would like this area. I am really enjoying what I am doing.” Kerry’s next challenge is to complete his Asceptic Training at PCCA this spring and master the work we can do in our sterile room – it is a challenge that he looks forward to.
An outdoor lover who loves life, loves Colorado and loves wild life photography, we know that Kerry will always have something new to share with us, and we look forward to it!
