Marshal Tobin
Pharmacist and Owner
Marshall began Pencol Medisave Pharmacy as an independent pharmacy in December of 1973. When he decided to specialize in compounding, Pencol became a destination pharmacy, which is proud to serve Denver and Colorado.
Marshall began working when he was 16 years old. He sold jewelry for Kenmark Jewelers. Marshall has always loved people and he discovered early on that what he loved about them most was taking care of them and helping them achieve good outcomes. His Uncle was a pharmacist and Marshall saw first hand that this was a place where he too could make a difference. After graduation from Pharmacy school, Marshall who has always lived in the city of Denver knew that this is where he wanted to begin his business – so in December of 1973 Marshall began doing what mattered most – helping people.
When Marshall was introduced to compounding medicine, he knew that a new era in customer service, in providing better assistance to doctors, and what became known as the ‘Patient, Doctor, and Pharmacist Triad’ was tailor made for doing that. This was the last exciting piece that Marshall had been looking for in completing his goal of giving people the best methods to seeking the best outcome. “Why would we give people the same size medicines?” Marshall asks, “Why would we give someone who is 6’ tall and weighs 250 pounds the same medicine that we would give someone else who is 4’11” and weighs 110 pounds! With compounding we don’t do that; we make the ‘right size medicine’ for each one of our patients. And that’s what medicine should be about.”
